Hello, this is Trevor from Newcastle Productions. I grew up in England, where Christmas annuals and Summer Specials were highlights of the comic reader's year. So I thought I'd make one...this annual showcases a small part of Newcastle Productions' output in 2009 and 2010. It contains a selection of drawings from the Newcastle Australia zine series, with added comments and extras by the author and illustrator. There are brand new wonky drawings and stunning original sketchbook pages and some fascinating facts about the creative process...

...I've house-hunted in both England and Australia. When I lived in London I could pretty much tell the size, features and age of a house and its garden, just by looking at the street name...Here, in Newcastle [NSW] it was different: every time I went to look at a house I had no idea what to expect. Everywhere we looked houses were on different block sizes and might have been built decades apart from the neighbours'. Resulting in very little uniformity in many streets...The same applies to Newcastle letterboxes...
